Merbein Golf Club, located at 355 McEdward Street, Cabarita, is a modern golf course just ten minutes from Mildura, suitable for both serious and casual golfers. This course is perfect for the travelling golfer who wants to experience real country golfing.
Competitions take place Wednesdays and Saturdays at 12pm. During Daylight Savings, nine-hole games are also available on Fridays, including after 5pm. The course is open daily, and the clubhouse operates Wednesdays and Saturdays from 11am to 5pm.
Established in 1926, Merbein Golf Club moved to its current site in the 1930s and has since relied on volunteer maintenance. In June 2024, the club opened its new clubhouse, designed to host events both indoors and outdoors.
Set among grass greens and Mallee trees, this 18-hole course offers one of Sunraysia District’s top layouts. The course features native birdlife, flexible membership with easy access, and daily cart hire. Competitions run Wednesday, Saturday, and Friday evenings in summer. Anyone can play—any day, any time.
Merbein Golf Club also services the Cabarita community as the local post office (Cabarita Post Office), this is serviced by volunteers and all patronage to the course assists this enterprise to continue.
